英国升学｜Outstanding公立学校降级之路

英国公立学校的评分机构叫Ofsted（Office for Standards in Education, Children\'s Services and Skills），最简单的解读方法就是看每所学校的报告评分，共分四个评级：Outstanding、Good、Requires Improvement及Inadequate。
学校评级四准则
一所Outstanding的学校在以下四方面得到的评价，均是最高分数︰
1.领导与管理（Leadership and management）︰有关学校的管理质素及效率
2.教学质素（Quality of teaching）︰有关老师的教学质素及学习评估方法
3.学生行为与安全（Behaviour and safety of pupils）︰有关学生行为及学校安全
4.学生成就（Achievement of pupils）︰有关学生的成绩及成就
英格兰的教育部在二○一二年为了节省开支，豁免了大部分Outstanding公立中小学的例行评审。由于不少人批评此举让不少学校故步自封，这个措施在二○二○年已取消。但在全英格兰大约三千四百所Outstanding中小学中，43%最少十年未曾进行评审，38%最后一次评审已在五至十年之前。教育部门希望在二○二五年夏季之前，为全英格兰所有学校进行评审，好让大众得到每所学校的最新资讯。
最近Ofsted就更新了三百七十一所公立中小学的评级，当中八成学校的评级由最高的Outstanding降至其他级别；今次就先由比较多香港人聚居的Manchester及英国东北地区说起。
五校降级较严重
根据最新公布，以下五所学校（两所小学、三所中学）降级特别严重，特别留意位于Lancashire的Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School及位于Manchester的The King David High School，这两所中学均由最高级别的Outstanding，降至最低级别的Inadequate︰
Lancashire: Rawtenstall Balladen Community Primary School——降至Requires Improvement
Lancashire: Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School——降至Inadequate
Manchester: The King David High School——降至Inadequate
Oldham: The Radclyffe School——降至Requires Improvement
Stockport: Great Moor Infant School——降至Requires Improvement
降为Good中小学
由Outstanding降为Good的Manchester及英国东北地区小学︰
Bolton: Egerton Primary School
Cheshire East: Goostrey Community Primary School
Cheshire West and Chester: Hartford Primary School
Cheshire West and Chester: Clutton Church of England Primary School
Lancashire: Poulton-le-Fylde St Chad\'s CofE Primary School
Oldham: Mills Hill Primary School
St Helens: St Theresa\'s Catholic Primary School
Trafford: Brooklands Primary School
Trafford: Our Lady of the Rosary RC Primary School
Trafford: Well Green Primary School
由Outstanding降为Good的Manchester及英国东北地区中学︰
